Racial Profiling

The office of the Chief of Police collects information pertaining to vehicle stops where a citation is issued and to arrests made as a result of those stops, including information relating to:

  • The persons race or ethnicity
  • Whether a search was conducted and if it was consented to
  • Whether the officer knew the race or ethnicity of the driver prior to the stop

Racial Profiling is strictly prohibited by officers in the Colorado City Police Department. The Colorado City Police compiles a report of this data and submits a copy to T.C.L.E.O.S.E. and to the Colorado City City Council each year.  Click here to view the 2010 Racial Profiling Report.

If you would like to file a racial profiling complaint, please complete this Complaint Form.
